Isolating Gaza and preventing return: an official Israeli announcement of a plan for fragmentation and displacement
93
A day after issuing a decision prohibiting the movement of citizens from the central Gaza Strip toward Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces arrived on Rashid Coastal Street and began erecting earth mounds, further isolating and tightening the siege on the city.
This move represents another step in the occupation’s plan to isolate Gaza City, tighten its siege, and starve the remaining residents who refuse forced displacement.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that Israel is working to displace the remaining population in Gaza City by depriving them of food, medicine, and fuel, cutting off humanitarian supplies, and deepening the policy of systematic starvation, as part of a consistent pattern of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
