Agricultural lands in Gaza have become destroyed and unsuitable for cultivation

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that most of Gaza’s agricultural land has been either completely destroyed or is inaccessible, indicating that residents can no longer afford food.
This came in a tweet posted by the agency on its official X page, saying: “Almost all agricultural land in Gaza has been destroyed or inaccessible. A kilo of tomatoes, which previously cost about half a dollar, now costs $15—if at all. Families who lived off the produce of their land no longer have any source of income. People cannot afford food now that it is back on the market. Until Gaza’s agricultural sector is rebuilt, there must be an unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid.”
