Civil Defense in Gaza: Unexploded missiles under the rubble

Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal confirmed on Tuesday that civil defense teams are facing significant difficulties in carrying out their humanitarian duties due to the ongoing aggression and the destruction of infrastructure.

In a statement, Bassal said that the presence of unexploded ordnance under the rubble is hindering the work of rescue teams, stressing the need for an international political decision to find a radical solution to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

He added that field teams are unable to recover the bodies of martyrs from under the rubble because the Israeli enemy destroyed the necessary heavy equipment. He called for the formation of specialized teams and the development of a clear plan for rubble removal and victim recovery operations.

Bassal pointed out that the residents of the Gaza Strip are experiencing increasing anxiety as winter approaches, given the lack of homes and safe shelters. He emphasized that tents do not provide a humane or safe environment for the displaced, while basic supplies and relief services remain severely lacking.
