Intense Israeli artillery shelling targets southern Lebanese towns


Lebanese media reported on Wednesday evening that a number of southern towns were subjected to intense Israeli artillery shelling, targeting homes and residential areas in the region.

Reports indicated that the town of Mays al-Jabal was a particular target, with loud explosions heard throughout the border region. Several shells also landed near the western outskirts of the town of Houla.

The reports added that Israeli military vehicles were observed moving in the Bayad Blida area after a shell landed between Mays al-Jabal and the town of Muhaybib in the eastern sector. They also indicated that the Israeli army dropped flares over Wadi Hunin amid the ongoing escalation in the area.
