Hamas: The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation committed war crimes against the Palestinian people and must be held accountable

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, called on international courts to prosecute those responsible for the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)” and hold them accountable for the crimes they committed against the Palestinian people.

In a statement, the movement said that the American foundation’s announcement of ending its operations in the Gaza Strip came after a series of daily massacres during the war, in which it contributed to the killing of starving Palestinians seeking aid. Hamas asserted that this closure was a deserved step for an organization that “fell with the collapse of the genocidal project and the engineering of starvation in partnership with the Zionist occupation.”

Hamas pointed out that since its entry into the sector, the institution has formed part of the occupation’s security system, adopting distribution mechanisms that have no relation to humanity, and creating dangerous and humiliating conditions for civilians during their attempts to obtain food, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of thousands of the people of the sector due to sniping and deliberate killing, which exposes its complicity in the crime of genocide.

The movement added that the Palestinian people view this institution as a model of the failure of the occupation and its partners to impose a fait accompli, emphasizing that any project that collaborates with the occupation and implements its fascist policies will collapse because it is founded on injustice, tyranny, and the degradation of human dignity.

Hamas called on legal institutions and international courts to prosecute the institution and those responsible for it and hold them accountable for their crimes, to ensure that the tragedy is not repeated and to protect humanity from organized international terrorism.
