The Government Media Office in Gaza on Monday condemned the incitement campaign launched by the Israeli enemy, its tools, and mercenaries against the Palestinian national football team after its qualification to the second round of the Arab Cup.
In a statement obtained by the Yemen News Agency (SABA), the office affirmed that this success angered the Israeli enemy, which rushed through its media outlets, online trolls, and some mercenary voices to “launch a dirty incitement campaign targeting the team and its heroic players, aiming to tarnish this Palestinian national achievement.”
The statement noted that this malicious campaign “reflects the enemy’s resentment of anything that unites Palestinians or enhances their presence in regional , international sports, cultural, and political arenas.”
The statement emphasized that the “Fedayeen” team belongs to all Palestinians, representing the entire Palestinian people both inside the homeland and in the diaspora, embodying the spirit of national unity , a collective identity that the Israeli enemy, its allies, and mercenaries cannot distort or undermine.
It warned that any incitement against the Palestinian national team, from any party, “constitutes a blatant deviation from the national front and an unjustified alignment with the Israeli enemy’s narrative , its attempts to undermine our people’s unity and morale.”
The statement stressed the “necessity of full support for our heroic Fedayeen team,” affirming that the Palestinian people “will remain united behind their national team, and all campaigns of incitement and defamation will fail before the steadfastness, determination, and will of our genuine people.”
The Government Media Office congratulated the Fedayeen team on qualifying for the second round of the Arab Cup, saying, “This achievement has brought joy to the hearts of our people in the homeland and the diaspora.”
It highlighted “the ability of the Palestinian people to create hope and excellence despite aggression, siege, and all conditions of oppression they face due to Israeli aggression and occupation.”
