Thirty-two Palestinian prisoners were executed in Israeli prisons during 2025

The Palestinian Center for Prisoner Studies reported that the past two years have witnessed the highest rate of extrajudicial killings of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

In a statement issued Thursday, the center explained that the Israeli occupation forces executed 32 identified prisoners in 2025, following the execution of 43 prisoners in 2024. The statement added that the occupation continues to kill defenseless prisoners through torture, medical neglect, starvation, beatings, and other crimes, all under the watchful eye of the international community and without any deterrent.

The number of martyrs in the Palestinian prisoner movement has reached 323 since 1967, including 86 prisoners killed by the occupation in the last 27 months, 32 of whom were killed in 2025 alone. The occupation continues to withhold their bodies and refuses to release them to their families.

Last year’s martyrs were distributed among the Gaza Strip, Jenin, Bethlehem, Hebron, Tulkarm, Ramallah, and Nablus, including six elderly individuals and young people such as prisoner Walid Ahmed (17 years old), who died as a result of systematic starvation.

The center indicated that occupation interrogators used deadly torture methods in interrogation centers, especially in detention centers such as Sde Teiman, Ofer, and Negev. These methods included electric shocks, severe beatings, forcing prisoners to strip naked in the cold, using police dogs, starvation, and medical neglect, in addition to rape crimes and boasting about them by leaking videos.
