On the eve of launching a missile salvo… Yemen showcases striking a British oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden

On Monday, the Yemeni forces sent a new message to the US and its allies, coinciding with mobilizations for a new escalation in the region.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Yemeni forces, with audio and video, revealed details of targeting a British oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden. The military media, affiliated with the Yemeni forces, published a video clip and an analysis regarding the attack that targeted the ship “Marlin Luanda.”

The attack was carried out at the time, according to sources, with a new type of missile named (Al-Bahr Al-Ahmar), which was developed from a medium-range (Sejjil) missile, operating with dual thermal and radar guidance systems.

Although the attack is old, having been carried out on January 26, 2024, and caused a fire on the ship, its content, in terms of timing, carried a message for the US, which is mobilizing for a new war in the region.

The content of the message was conveyed by the military media, quoting an officer in the operations room, saying, “The Yemeni forces deliberately targeted (Luanda) in the Gulf of Aden despite its passage in the nearby Red Sea, considering this a message that all maritime passages are now within reach of the Yemeni forces.”

The US is expected to deploy battleships in the Gulf of Aden as part of its arrangements for an escalation against Iran. The revelation of the attack details coincided with reports about the Yemeni forces conducting new missile tests in the Gulf of Aden, indicating that any presence there will be a target for Yemeni missiles.
