Britain confirms America has completed evacuating its bases in the Middle East after they fell to Iran

Britain confirmed today that the US has completed its withdrawal from its bases in the Middle East. This comes after Iran succeeded in targeting and completely destroying them.

The British government stated in a release that American forces have effectively begun using British bases for defense against Iranian attacks. Britain had agreed to hand over its bases to the Americans.

Britain possesses several bases in the region, most notably in Cyprus on the Mediterranean Sea and another in the Indian Ocean at the farthest point from the Iranian coasts.

The American decision to use British bases came as Iran struck all of its bases in the region, including those in the Gulf countries, Jordan, and Iraq.

The American step confirms the collapse of its defense systems and the Iranian narrative regarding the strikes on “THAAD” systems, which American forces had relied upon in the current war on Iran.

The British bases, whether in the Mediterranean or the Indian Ocean, will not provide protection for American forces, especially after offensive operations have been recorded against them, but they give sufficient time for American elements to take cover due to their distance from Iran.
