A US official reveals the truth about the destruction of Iranian capabilities and the performance of American and Israeli defenses

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Former US Department of Defense official David T. Payne stated that the credibility of the American narrative regarding the current war with Iran is in doubt, pointing to contradictions concerning the scale of military losses.

In a statement to the “Sputnik” agency, Payne said, “Since the US is clearly lying about the number of American military losses in the current war with Iran, the validity of other claims made by it is questionable.”

He explained that accurately assessing Iran’s losses remains difficult, given it is unclear whether the US claims of destroying Iranian missile launchers take into account dummy targets alongside real ones.

He added that the US estimates of the total number of Iranian ballistic missiles appear to be significantly lower than reality, raising questions about the accuracy of American military assessments on this file.

Payne pointed out that most Iranian missile launchers, especially those hidden deep underground, “will likely survive the war” even if it continues for months.

He also noted that the US and Israel face a severe shortage in their inventory of offensive missiles and interceptor missile defense systems, confirming that Israeli air defenses have proven largely ineffective against Iranian ballistic and hypersonic missiles.
