American newspapers: Iran’s missile arsenal surprises the West, and the “Appointment of Khamenei’s Son” is a challenge to Trump

Tehran – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

American and British newspapers highlighted several developments related to Iran, ranging from military surprise to economic expectations and internal political changes.

The British magazine “The Economist” quoted unnamed sources stating that the depth, accuracy, and power of Iran’s missile arsenal were greater than expected, surprising officials in Washington and “Tel Aviv.”

The American newspaper “The Wall Street Journal” discussed possibilities related to energy markets, suggesting that the price of oil could reach $215 per barrel in light of current data.

The same newspaper addressed the issue of leadership in Iran, saying that the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei represents, according to it, evidence of the failure of US President Donald Trump’s efforts to subdue the Iranian system.

It added that this appointment represents a challenge to Trump and indicates that Tehran will not back down in its war with the US and “Israel.”

In the same context, the American newspaper “HuffPost” stated that Iran is challenging Trump and choosing confrontation over settlement by appointing the Supreme Leader’s son as his successor, in reference to what the newspaper described as the path Tehran is taking in its dealings with Washington.
