Health Ministry: 658 Palestinians killed since Gaza ceasefire

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,234 martyrs and 171,852 wounded.

In its daily statement, the Ministry explained that Gaza Strip hospitals received 7 martyrs and 13 wounded in the past 48 hours, up to 9:00 AM today, as a result of the continued Israeli attacks.

The Ministry indicated that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to the difficult field conditions and the continued danger in some areas.

It stated that the death toll since the ceasefire was declared on October 11 has reached 658 martyrs and 1,754 wounded, in addition to 756 victims recovered from under the rubble.

The Ministry also noted that 91 martyrs have been added to the cumulative toll after their data was completed and they were officially approved by the Martyrs’ Recognition Committee. These are victims who were killed since the beginning of March.

Medical and civil defense teams continue to search for and recover victims in various areas of the sector, at a time when the health system is suffering from great pressure and a severe shortage of medical resources as a result of the widespread destruction of health facilities caused by the aggression.
