Lebanese Ministry of Health: 2,294 martyrs and 7,544 wounded is the toll of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, from the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hezbollah until the ceasefire, resulted in the deaths of approximately 2,300 people, according to a new toll announced by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

The ministry stated in a press release: “The cumulative, but not final, toll of the aggression from March 2nd until midnight on April 16th is: 2,294 martyrs and 7,544 wounded,” specifying that among the martyrs were 100 paramedics and 177 children.

The ministry indicated that it would announce a final toll later, “after the completion of clearing the rubble and recovering the martyrs,” and after conducting DNA tests to identify the victims.
