Gaza: Calls for the release of journalists and doctors, and warnings of escalating violations.

Palestinian journalists and doctors in the Gaza Strip called on international and human rights organizations to take serious action to release their colleagues detained in Israeli prisons, warning of escalating violations committed against them following the passage of the “execution of prisoners” law.
This came during two separate demonstrations in western Gaza City; the first in front of the International Committee of the Red Cross headquarters, organized by the Media Forum, and the second at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, at the invitation of the Ministry of Health, as part of the activities commemorating Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, which falls on April 17th each year.
During the first demonstration, participating journalists held banners, some of which read, “Free the imprisoned journalists… Let the truth breathe,” and “Freedom for the imprisoned journalists in Israeli occupation prisons.”
