Widespread international condemnation of the Israeli attack on the Freedom Flotilla

The foreign ministers of Jordan, Spain, Pakistan, Brazil, Bangladesh, Turkey, South Africa, Colombia, Libya, the Maldives, and Malaysia condemned the Israeli attack on the “Global Freedom Flotilla” bound for the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement, the ministers affirmed that targeting ships and detaining humanitarian activists in international waters constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
They emphasized their concern for the safety of the civilian activists and called on the Israeli authorities to take immediate steps to ensure their release.
The statement also called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities to protect civilians, safeguard international law, and ensure that those responsible for these violations are held accountable.
