More than 50 airstrikes on southern Lebanon


The death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2nd has risen to 2,618 martyrs and 8,094 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. This comes as the Israeli army intensified its raids on southern Lebanon, launching more than 50 airstrikes since dawn on Saturday.

The National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes continued to target several areas, carrying out 17 raids on Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, Zawtar al-Gharbiyah, and the riverbank. A bombing that targeted a town in the Nabatieh district resulted in the martyrdom of six people and the injury of eight others, bringing the total number of martyrs on Friday to 16.

Three martyrs were also killed in the town of Shukin, and one in the town of Mayfadoun, in addition to two Syrians, as a result of raids targeting a town in the Nabatieh district. In southern Tyre, a drone strike targeting a motorcycle resulted in the martyrdom of one person and the injury of another.

Southern Lebanon witnessed intense and continuous shelling, with the Israeli army firing heavy machine guns towards the vicinity of the towns of Ramiya and Qouzah in the Bint Jbeil district, while artillery fire targeted the outskirts of several towns. Intermittent artillery fire also struck the outskirts of towns in the Nabatieh district.

The airstrikes extended to other towns in the Tyre district, as well as Kfar and Yater in Bint Jbeil, in addition to an airstrike on the town of Qaqaiyat al-Jisr. Two airstrikes targeted the area around the town square of Mayfadoun, while a drone struck the Shoukin-Nabatieh road, resulting in injuries.
