A protest in support of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails

Prisoners’ organizations and their families organized a sit-in in front of Baladna Cultural Center in the city of Al-Bireh, in support of Palestinian prisoners in enemy jails, and to shed light on their humanitarian conditions, amid the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, calling for international action to protect them. The head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club Abdullah Al-Zagari, said that the enemy authorities continue to practice policies of oppression and torture against the prisoners, emphasizing that their conditions have worsened in an unprecedented way over the past thirty-three months, and that there has been no improvement in their detention conditions.

Al-Zagari added that the prisoners are subjected to continuous violations including torture, starvation, stripping, as well as physical assaults, pointing out that there are reports talking about cases of rape inside the prisons, which puts the lives of detainees in real danger.
