Washington Launches a New Round of Strikes on Iran
Tehran – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
American forces launched a new round of strikes on targets in Bushehr province in southern Iran on Monday.
Washington claimed that the attacks came in response to the Revolutionary Guard targeting a container ship flying the Cypriot flag.
US Central Command announced that “we have begun a new round of strikes on Iran after the Revolutionary Guard attacked a container ship flying the Cypriot flag.”
The American announcement coincided with the sound of successive explosions in several cities in Bushehr province.
Iran’s “Fars” news agency reported “explosions heard in Asaluyeh and Bandar Deyr in Bushehr province in southern Iran.”
Iranian television confirmed “explosions heard in the cities of Asaluyeh and Bandar Deyr in Bushehr province.” Meanwhile, “Mehr” news agency reported “an explosion heard in Bandar Kangan in Bushehr province,” noting that “residents felt tremors.”
This new round of strikes comes after Tehran announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz “until the end of American interventions.”
