Brigadier General Bin Amer Reveals the Indications of the Spontaneous Popular Movement and Affirms: Our Response to Abha Airport Is a First Message

The Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Directorate of Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Abdullah Bin Amer, affirmed that the rapid military response to the targeting of Sana’a International Airport and the targeting of Saudi Abha Airport within hours carries decisive field messages affirming that the armed forces possess practical options and procedures that respond to the aspirations of the Yemeni people to end the aggression and break the siege.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Brigadier General Bin Amer explained, during his appearance tonight on Al-Masirah TV, that the armed forces had previously warned the Saudi side in their statement issued on July 3 of the consequences of persisting in targeting Sana’a Airport, pointing out that the response was not delayed and came quickly and directly.

Brigadier General Bin Amer clarified that the latest armed forces statement set out clear practical means to achieve its objectives, foremost among them warning international airlines against crossing the airspace of the Kingdom. He described this step as “a highly important message to the Saudi regime to reconsider its calculations,” revealing that it may precede advanced practical measures, including “the announcement of a ban on air navigation to one or more airports within the Saudi depth.”

The Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Directorate in Sana’a pointed out that “the aggression on Sana’a Airport triggered a wide and spontaneous popular movement that started from Hajjah governorate only about an hour after the bombing, then quickly extended to Rima, Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Taiz, and reached the capital Sana’a.” He stressed that there can be no separation between the targeting of the airport and this movement, in which the masses demanded the armed forces to respond immediately, explaining that “this boiling was preceded by a wide-scale tribal authorization to the leader of the revolution in recent days to take what is necessary to secure rights.”

In his reading of the nature of the confrontation, Brigadier General Bin Amer considered that the siege is classified as a military measure under international law, and therefore dealing with it will only be through a similar military measure. He affirmed that the cohesion of the home front has foiled all the enemies’ bets, saying: “The Yemeni people possess their legitimate right to resistance, and even if Yemenis had nothing but stones, they would have resisted this aggression with them, because they cannot accept silence or slow death.”

Brigadier General Bin Amer touched on the path of regional negotiations, explaining that understandings with Saudi Arabia had reached an advanced stage before Riyadh retreated under American pressure and guidance following the launch of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle. He pointed out that “Saudi Arabia then turned to economic escalation, which was met with a firm stance from Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi that forced it to retreat,” before it returned to maneuvering again, betting on Israeli aggression and American moves in the Red Sea, only to be later surprised by Washington’s military defeat and retreat, prompting Riyadh to re-establish contact with Sana’a.

Brigadier General Abdullah Bin Amer concluded his speech by affirming that Saudi policy towards Yemen is based on two constant historical paths; the first is absolute subservience to the orientations of the United States and Britain, and the second is its own historical agenda aimed at keeping Yemen divided, weak, and subject to guardianship, deprived of development and renaissance.

Bin Amer stressed that this current battle is “a historic battle to end Saudi guardianship forever,” and that the Saudi regime resorted to the weapon of economic siege after its disastrous military failure throughout ten years of war, despite its alliance with 17 countries with American, British, and Israeli support, affirming that “the sacrifices of the Yemeni people will not be in vain, and this round will not end except by achieving the aspirations of the Yemeni people completely and without deficiency.”
