Iran: We Have No Commitments Regarding the Strait of Hormuz After Washington “Sabotaged” the Memorandum of Understanding

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, stated on Tuesday that the United States has completely “sabotaged” the memorandum of understanding with Iran by re-imposing the blockade, affirming that Tehran currently has no commitments, including those related to the Strait of Hormuz.

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Gharibabadi clarified that Iran did not reach any agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz during the talks hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, affirming that no direct negotiations were held with the United States in Muscat regarding the strait.

He added that those who demand that Iran restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz to its normal state “are making an inappropriate request,” considering that the essence of the memorandum of understanding was based on ending the war against Iran and Lebanon, but the United States has completely violated it, according to his expression.
