Israeli incursion and shelling in southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation army continued its military escalation in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, carrying out incursions, artillery shelling, arson attacks, and the demolition of homes. This coincided with the overflight of Israeli drones over Beirut, its southern suburbs, and several other areas in the south.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone flew over Beirut and its southern suburbs, while other drones continued to fly over several villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
In the Nabatieh Governorate, Israeli artillery intermittently shelled the Ali al-Taher hill on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa town since the morning, according to the agency.
It added that Israeli military vehicles entered the outskirts of Aita al-Jabal town in the Bint Jbeil district before withdrawing towards Haddatha town.
In the Marjeyoun district, Israeli occupation forces burned homes in Qantara town and demolished the remaining houses in the Mashaa area of Mansouri town in the western sector of southern Lebanon, according to the same source.
This comes despite the “framework agreement” signed between Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, under US auspices, which stipulates a gradual Israeli withdrawal from areas in southern Lebanon in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army there.
