An Explosive Device Targets a Convoy of Saudi Forces in Shabwah

Local sources reported on Thursday that five soldiers were injured as a result of an explosive device explosion targeting a military convoy belonging to Saudi forces in Shabwah, southeastern Yemen.

The sources said that the explosion, which targeted the so-called “Homeland Shield” forces affiliated with Saudi Arabia, occurred near the Al-Saeed junction while the military convoy was heading towards Aden city.

The sources indicated that the five soldiers sustained what were described as serious wounds, in an initial toll of the attack. The identity of the party that carried it out was not disclosed until the time of publication.
