Sana’a Reveals the Details of the Saudi Coup Against the “Roadmap” and Calls on It to Abandon Its “Superiority Complex” and Subservience to the West
Sana’a called on Riyadh to reconsider the nature of its relationship with Yemen, to abandon its “attitude of arrogance and haughtiness,” and not to turn into a “functional state” that implements Western agendas and interests, demanding the cancellation of the so-called “Special Committee” and the transformation of relations between the two countries into relations of equals and friendship through official channels and the competent ministries, and in a manner that respects Yemen’s sovereignty and the independence of its decision.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs in the Sana’a government, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, explained that the Saudi regime reneged on what was agreed upon in the “roadmap” and backpedaled on the entitlements of peace and the understandings of the humanitarian file that addresses the crisis, expressing his astonishment at this disavowal even though it is more costly than escalation, and affirming that this coup came out of a motive of a “condescending view” and American pressures and the Israeli occupation following the Gaza support operation.
Al-Ruwaishan, who is also considered the deputy head of the Sana’a delegation in the political negotiations, revealed that the negotiations that took place under Omani sponsorship and mediation witnessed at their beginning a positive Saudi proposal that showed readiness to go to the furthest extent in the files of security, common interests, and atoning for the mistakes of the aggression, but Riyadh returned to thinking with a superior perspective, noting that Sana’a’s participation in the negotiation rounds and the exchange visits of delegations came out of the motive of “establishing the proof” and keenness on calm and peace, according to a special interview with Al-Masirah channel.
