Sana’a Announces Its Welcome to Any Efforts That End the Saudi Siege and War on Yemen

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Sana’a government renewed the affirmation in an official statement of Sana’a’s welcome to all sincere efforts that contribute to lifting the siege and stopping the war continuing on the Yemeni people since 2015.

Sana’a — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

In a related context, the head of the Sana’a delegation in the political negotiations, Mohammed Abdulsalam, refuted the claims promoted about Sana’a’s rejection of the negotiation path, explaining that the diplomatic efforts were launched early following the speech of the Leader of the Revolution on the anniversary of the Hijrah; where direct and indirect communications took place with the Saudi side during which a package of humanitarian proposals was presented based on the understandings of the “roadmap” concluded prior to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle.

Abdulsalam made clear that Riyadh was obstinate in responding, betting on the regional and international variables and deluding that the policy of economic and humanitarian strangulation would push Sana’a to surrender and concede what was impossible to achieve on the military battlefield.

He noted that “the blatant aggression and the targeting of Sana’a International Airport last July formed a point of blowing up the truce, which obligated the Armed Forces to move in defense of national sovereignty,” noting that “Sana’a interacted positively with the recent Omani proposal stipulating a truce of five days on condition of meeting the humanitarian file, while Riyadh met this responsiveness with procrastination that lasted three weeks and field escalation and military mobilization, which clearly revealed the Saudi side’s lack of any serious intentions toward achieving peace and its use of time for maneuvering and procrastination.”
