Saudi Arabia Renews Its Accusation Against the UAE of Orchestrating the “Houthis'” Targeting of Bin Salman at the Ministry of Defense

Saudi Arabia on Sunday renewed the leaking of more behind-the-scenes details of the military operation that targeted a meeting of Bin Salman at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in the capital, Riyadh.

Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Platforms run by Saudi intelligence on social media published new information about the operation. The information included direct accusations against the UAE of orchestrating it. According to those platforms, the UAE was aware of a meeting held by the Saudi Minister of Defense, Khalid bin Salman, with his brother Mohammed, in addition to the army commanders, foremost among them the chiefs of staff and intelligence.

The meeting, according to the leaks, was devoted to discussing the meeting held by the UAE President, Mohammed bin Zayed, with Khalid bin Salman, who had just returned from Abu Dhabi.

The platforms suggested that the UAE may have planted tracking chips of some kind and leaked the coordinates of the meeting to those it described as the “Houthis.”

Saudi Arabia had acknowledged that the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Riyadh was subjected to an attack with ballistic missiles, although the Yemeni forces had not previously placed it on their list of targets.

The fate of the senior leaders, among them the Saudi Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff, remains unknown amid conflicting reports regarding their killing or injury.

It is also not known whether the Saudi Crown Prince attended the meeting, in addition to his fate.

This isn’t the first time that Saudi Arabia has accused its small ally in the Yemen war, the “UAE,” of being behind attacks on Saudi cities, as Saudi elites close to the intelligence had previously claimed that Abu Dhabi bought hypersonic missile technology from China and leaked it to Sana’a to carry out precise operations in the Saudi depth.
