The Ministry of Fisheries ridiculed the lies of the aggression’s channels regarding the deployment of naval mines that caused the killing of fishermen
Sana’a – Saba:
The Ministry of Fisheries made fun of the lies spread by the channels and propaganda apparatuses of the aggression that the scores of traditional fishermen who were killed and injured were victims of naval mines strewn throughout fishing regions meant for them.
According to a statement from the ministry, the real risk to fishermen and their dependents, who number in the tens of thousands of families, is to prevent them from sailing farther than 20 kilometers after they have become accustomed to sailing for a distance of 100 nautical miles (185 kilometers) in many fishing areas in the Red Sea.
The statement refuted all of these allegations that are being promoted by the channels of aggression and explained that they are a part of the deceptive media campaign that the aggression forces are waging against Yemen in an effort to justify their crimes, cunning strategies, and ongoing violations against innocent civilians.
Along with the continued destructive operations of fish wealth and industrial fishing along the coasts of the Red and Arabian Seas, in plain sight and hearing of the mercenary authorities, it also touched on what the fishermen have been subjected to during the years of aggression, violations, and crimes. The coalition’s aircraft and boats carried out 291 direct targeting operations in the fishing sector, killing 273 fishermen and injuring 211 others.
The statement continued by stating that the aggression had repeatedly kidnapped, tortured, burned, and looted the fishermen’s boats, in addition to committing genocide and other heinous crimes against them. This represented a grave violation of both human rights and international humanitarian law.
The Ministry of Fisheries saw these crimes as a continuation of the flagrant abuses committed by the aggression forces and their mercenaries against the populace and fishermen throughout Yemen.
It pleaded with the international community to act right away to put a stop to the aggression and lift the unfair siege that had been placed on Yemen, which was causing suffering for the Yemeni people and deteriorating the humanitarian situation in the country.
