Two American conditions were revealed to Al-Zubaidi, one of them exile and retirement
The US put two conditions on Aidarous al-Zubaidi, head of the pro-UAE Transitional Council in southern Yemen.
Exclusive – Al-khabar Al-Yemeni:
The US ambassador informed Aidarous Al-Zubaidi of the necessity of carrying out the Riyadh agreement, particularly the clause requiring him to dismantle his forces and remove them from Aden, or exile and political retirement, according to government sources.
The sources indicated that Al-Zubaidi, who had already been banished to Washington for a few days, consented to disband his forces and began implementing that, enabling his return to Aden.
The US ambassador, who recently traveled to Aden and the UN together with military experts, is in charge of overseeing the implementation.
According to the sources, the US has adopted a new approach to settling the Yemeni file that includes significant changes at the level of the Presidential Council. This policy includes dismantling the Transitional Council forces. They anticipate the removal of Abu Zaraa’h Al-Muharrami and Faraj Al-Bahsani, two members of the Transitional Council in the Presidency, while Al-Zubaidi’s stay is linked to his commitment to implementing the agreement.
Only two days after returning to Aden and holding meetings under the flag of the Yemen Republic, Al-Zubaidi announced the dismantling of his militias officially, and the American conditions were revealed on the eve of his announcement.
