Air exercises in northern Yemen

Sana’a witnessed an extraordinary military display on Tuesday; this coincided with the preparations for a display on the eve of Revolution Day.

In different formations, military aircraft flew above Yemen’s capital city.
In the Al-Sabeen region, which had earlier this week been the site of airdrops, MiG fighters and military helicopters were spotted circling the skies.

The recent flyovers, which featured units from the air, ground, and naval forces, including the air force, are part of the preparations for the biggest military display in Yemeni history.

On the eve of the September 21 Revolution anniversary, which is next Thursday, the display is expected to be launched.

Negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh are being led by the Sultanate of Oman at the same time as the scheduled display. It also occurs just a few days before the negotiators’ deadline set by Sana’a, which runs out following the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday on September 27.
