Suspicious US movements continue in the vicinity of Yemen

According to a statement made by the commander of the US Fifth Fleet after the arrival of 3,000 American soldiers to the fleet, the US is establishing a permanent military presence in the Middle East in a region filled with tensions and disturbances.

Follow-ups / Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

As part of a strategy to bolster US forces in the Middle East, Timothy Hawkins, a spokesman for the Fifth Fleet, said following the announcement of the arrival of 3000 American soldiers and two aircraft carriers to the Red Sea and Gulf, that this force is a precursor to a long-term military presence in the region.

The US official clarified that the “main objective of the additional forces is to give more options and flexibility for decision-makers in Washington and field leaders” to confront any problem, as he said. This clarification, however, has its own connotations due to its association with the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.

Hawkins also pointed out that “in the coming days, the forces will conduct exercises, among other things, with partners, as well as field operations, to provide regional security and stability,” according to his expression.

The US doesn’t hide that one of the tasks of its new forces is what it calls deterring Iran and confronting threats in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, down to the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait. Tehran is also aware of the reality of the American presence and its agenda.

Ramadan Sharif, a spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, warned the American forces against intercepting or detaining any Iranian ships and emphasized that any actions would be face with a similar response.

Ramadan has previously stated that the US Navy defends its fuel smuggling and has cited the incidents of the 6th and 7th of July of last year, when the Americans attempted to prevent the Revolutionary Guard Navy from detaining two ships involved in smuggling Iranian oil and gas in the Gulf through a series of unprofessional and risky actions.

There are many reasons that prompted America to enhance its military presence on international trade and navigation routes, but the most important, alongside supporting the security of the Zionist entity and the continuation of piracy, is a sense of weakness and incapacity in all confrontations with the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard, and the other matter is related to Washington’s efforts to regain the confidence of its proxies in the region and curb their rush to settle their problems with hostile countries to America and to build alliances with China or Russia.

The plan of America and its suspicious naval alliance, the features of which were formed in the wake of the announcement of the normalization project, led by it and with the participation of the enemy entity and Gulf countries, includes controlling the sources of oil and wealth in Yemen as well as controlling the strategically important Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

Usually, US forces are driven to the Middle East based on their interests, as is the need today to pave the way for the normalization project. The question that arises at this stage is: What awaits the region in light of the American militarization, and what is the future of the truce in Yemen and Iran’s relationship with America’s proxies?
