Sana’a renews its warning to Israeli ships on the eve of a new operation
On Monday, Sana’a renewed its warning to Israeli ships or those cooperating with them regarding navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Al-Mayadeen channel quoted the Commander of the Coastal Defense Brigade, Major General Muhammad Ali Al-Qadri, as renewing his warning that any Israeli ship or affiliated vessel will be a legitimate target if it does not respond to the calls. Al-Qadri threatened to make Yemen’s territorial waters a graveyard for Zionist enemy ships.
This warning came on the eve of reports of a new operation in the Red Sea.
Media sources reported that the British Maritime Trade Center stated that a cargo ship was crossing the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait when it received calls from Yemeni forces regarding the ban on sailing towards the occupation ports on the Red Sea, pointing out that the ship responded to the call and changed its course.
These developments come a day after confrontations described as the most violent, where Sana’a forces claimed responsibility for targeting two Israeli cargo ships that ignored the warnings regarding the closure of the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait to occupation ships. Meanwhile, the US confirmed that one of its battleships was subjected to a similar attack.
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza last October, Sana’a has taken steps to respond, including launching airstrikes deep into southern occupied settlements, before escalating by naval operations that Israeli leaders admit have paralyzed the movement in Red Sea ports and threaten the future of Mediterranean ports.
