Operation against an oil ship in the Strait of Hormuz

Coinciding with the suspension of negotiations between the two parties, the Iranian Navy carried out a new operation against the US in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Public Relations of the Iranian Army Navy confirmed that its forces managed to detain an oil ship that the US had seized years ago and confiscated an oil shipment from on board.

The ship was called “Suez Ragan” before the US changed its name to “St. Nicholas.”

The Iranian Navy explained that, based on a court ruling, they tracked the ship’s data and detained it before escorting it to Iranian ports.

During the years of the blockade, the US has confiscated several Iranian oil ships.

Although the American confiscation operation is not new, the timing of the latest incident carries deeper messages, especially as it coincides with reports of Tehran suspending its secret and public negotiations with the US in light of the assassinations in Lebanon and Syria and the escalation in Gaza.

The new operation also comes hours after the US issued a Security Council resolution condemning Yemeni operations against Israel in the Red Sea, amid indications of a new escalation in the region.
