After suffering three attacks, Britain announces the withdrawal of the HMS Diamond ship from the Red Sea for maintenance
Britain has announced the withdrawal of its warship, HMS Diamond, from the Red Sea after it was targeted in three separate attacks. This necessitated its replacement with the HMS Richmond and its withdrawal for maintenance.
Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
“The situation in the region is risky, and the force’s ships are firing on a daily basis,” according to the Commander of HMS Diamond, Evans.
He added that the focus now is on the maintenance period and resupplying ammunition before returning to mission in the Red Sea.
In January last year, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps stated that the warship Diamond of the British Royal Navy may have been targeted in an attack by Yemen.
