The latest image of the ship “LAAX” off the coast of Hudaydah
Satellite images revealed on Wednesday the difficult situation of the cargo ship “LAAX” off the western coast of Yemen. This comes a day after it was targeted with three missiles amid reports of part of it sinking.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Direct images from the specialized maritime tracking website “Marine Traffic” confirm that the ship, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and operated by a Greek company, remains stationary in its location, where it was targeted just a few nautical miles off the coast of Hudaydah.
The new images refute the American narrative presented by the US Central Command in its recent statement, claiming that the ship continued its sailing towards its destination.
The images also support the British narrative regarding the sinking of the ship, as reported by the maritime security company “Ambrey.”
Although the ship is the second to be sunk since the start of Yemeni operations against Israeli occupation last November, it is the first one to be targeted within Mediterranean operations. This step may prompt many shipping companies to review their positions regarding Yemen’s decision to ban navigation to Israeli ports in the Mediterranean.
