US warnings of the collapse of naval capabilities as more battleships are thrown into the Middle East quagmire

The pace of warnings in the US escalated on Monday about the repercussions of the collapse of maritime capabilities. This coincides with the decision of the U.S. Secretary of Defense to accelerate the deployment of more battleships in the Middle East amid expectations of a decisive battle.

The American Associated Press quoted a maritime analyst in the Congressional Budget Office as saying that warships building is at its worst in 25 years, pointing to significant challenges facing its industry.

These statements come a day after the U.S. Defense announced that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered the accelerated transfer of the U.S. aircraft carrier “Lincoln” to the U.S. Central Command’s operations area in the Middle East to relieve the aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” and dozens of battleships, submarines, and destroyers there.

The Ministry also reported that Austin’s decision also included directing the warship “Georgia” to head to the Middle East.

The United States maintains about 14 warships in the Middle East, including aircraft carriers, missile destroyers, interception and logistical support ships, and submarines, including nuclear ones.

American reinforcements come amid anticipation of a stronger response against Israeli occupation forces that may target American forces.

American battleships and warships face escalating attacks, especially in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, forcing many warships out of service and withdrawing others, including the aircraft carrier “Eisenhower,” whose fate remains unknown.

America’s deployment of all these battleships comes at a time when American reports published by “The National Interest” magazine reveal that American forces, including their bases in the Middle East, which it estimated at about 62 exposed bases for what they described as enemies.

Warnings of a collapse in maritime capabilities are a natural reflection of what the American Navy has been through in recent months during the confrontations in Yemen, where American battleships were the weakest link in the confrontation.
