Sana’a | Supreme Medical Committee: Coalition besieges 200,000 patients by closing Sana’a Airport
The Supreme Medical Committee in Sana’a held the Saudi-Emirati coalition fully responsible for the lives of Yemeni patients who were unable to seek treatment abroad due to the blockade imposed on Sana’a International Airport.
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The committee’s president, Dr. Muthar Al-Darweesh, affirmed that the coalition continues to prevent foreign medical teams from providing assistance, considering it a humanitarian crime against the Yemeni people.
Al-Darweesh warned of the increasing numbers of Yemeni patients in need of treatment abroad, confirming that the officially registered number has exceeded 200,000 patients, with various types of cancer topping the list of diseases requiring treatment abroad.
The head of the Supreme Medical Committee stated that the radical solution to this crisis lies in fully reopening Sana’a International Airport without any restrictions, noting that adding a single flight to Jordan is not sufficient, especially with the coalition’s delay in opening the destinations of India and Egypt, according to “September Net.”
