Sana’a adopts a new approach to dealing with oil ships
Sana’a has adopted a new approach to dealing with oil ships belonging to companies that violated the decision to ban navigation to the ports of occupied Palestine in order to protect the marine environment from oil pollution.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
This approach was evident in the tactics employed by Sana’a to handle the oil tanker “Sonion,” where the ship’s engine was targeted in the initial stage and precisely hit without causing damage to the oil tanks. After ensuring the ship was out of control and evacuating the crew, the tanks decks were detonated and set on fire, ensuring the complete burning of the oil before the ship sank.
The US had bet on an oil spill occurring to launch a propaganda campaign against Sana’a, to accuse it of damaging the marine environment. However, the footage broadcast by Sana’a of the ship burning operation yesterday thwarted the American plan.
