A former Royal Navy commander: The Houthis have achieved all their goals, while the West has not achieved any of them
Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Former Royal Navy commander Tom Sharpe told the Iranian International News Agency, “The Houthi fighters are achieving all their goals, whereas America and the countries allied with it to protect Israel have not achieved any of theirs.”
“We are spending millions and millions of dollars without winning. It’s a real problem.”
Sharpe added that striking the Houthis “with sufficient force to stop them would be really difficult” because they “have learned a lot about collective maneuverability.”
He pointed out that the Houthis hide their weapons in mountains and villages and transport them on movable platforms, indicating that the Americans would need “a huge amount of expensive air surveillance to achieve anything.”
