Seven Palestinian civilians were killed and more than 15 were wounded, Tuesday, as a result of an Israeli air strike targeting two residential houses in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza said in a statement on the Telegram platform that its crews recovered “5 martyrs and more than 10 injuries as a result of targeting a house belonging to the Abu Harb family in the Qizan al-Najjar area in Khan Yunis.” His crews “also recovered two martyrs and five wounded as a result of targeting a house belonging to the Abu Jarbou family in the Tahlia area of Khan Yunis”, he said. The Civil Defence did not elaborate on the nature of the shelling, but the official Palestinian news agency said it was carried out by warplanes. With unequivocal American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 137,000 Palestinian martyrs and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children.
