Targeting of an Israeli battleship in the Red Sea
The Israeli occupation revealed yesterday that one of its battleships was attacked in the Red Sea.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The occupation army reported that the attack targeted the newest warship “Sa’ar 6” and was carried out by drones.
The occupation claimed to have intercepted one of the drones during the clashes.
The targeting of the Israeli warship is the first since the start of the Yemeni operations supporting Gaza in the Red Sea since last November.
The operation indicates that the attack targeted the occupation’s naval base in the city of Eilat on the Red Sea, which is one of the most important occupation naval bases in the region, considering that the occupation relies on American battleships in the Red Sea to secure its cities.
Although the new operation is part of a series of attacks launched by Yemen on land and sea against the occupation for about a year, targeting the battleships marks a development in Yemeni operations against the Israeli occupation and an indication of new targets being added to Yemen’s list.
