The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced that at least 100 children were killed in Lebanon in 11 days, while 690 others were injured in the last six weeks, as a result of the Israeli aggression on the country.
“According to reports, at least 100 children have been killed in Lebanon in 11 days, and more than 690 children have been injured in the last six weeks,” the organization said via the X platform.
Since September 23, Israel has expanded the scope of the genocide it has been committing in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through unprecedented air strikes in violence and intensity, and began a ground incursion into the south, flouting international warnings and UN resolutions.
As of the end of Friday, these raids resulted in 1,181 dead and 3,318 wounded, including a large number of women and children, and more than one million and 200,000 displaced people, according to the monitoring of official Lebanese data.
