Successive Israeli raids on the cities of Tyre and Baalbek in Lebanon
Israeli raids continue yesterday on various areas of Lebanon, leaving deaths, injuries and massive destruction, and in the latest field developments, Israeli raids yesterday targeted the vicinity of the city of Baalbek and a nearby village in eastern Lebanon, as reported by the Lebanese News Agency, after an Israeli army warned to evacuate it for the second day in a row.
The agency reported that “Israeli aircraft launched four raids on the town of Durres and the vicinity of the city of Baalbek.” A series of raids yesterday also targeted the al-Hosh area, southeast of the coastal city of Tyre, following an ultimatum issued by the Israeli army to evacuate ten towns and villages in southern Lebanon.
At least four explosions were heard in the al-Hosh area, coinciding with a ‘heavy’ movement of residents, specifically from the nearby Palestinian refugee camp Rashidieh, which is covered by Israeli evacuation warnings, according to the Lebanese News Agency.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said yesterday that warnings by the Israeli army to evacuate cities from their inhabitants were an “additional war crime” committed by Israel.
