UN: All residents of northern Gaza at imminent risk of death
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reiterated the need to protect civilians in northern Gaza and across the Strip, noting that the Israeli authorities on Thursday ordered people living in parts of northern Gaza and Gaza governorates to leave again.
Preliminary estimates from humanitarian partners on the ground indicate that some 14,000 displaced Palestinians in that area are staying in shelters and other locations, including three UNRWA collective centres, one collective centre and six makeshift sites.
The Office noted that the Israeli offensive prevents Palestinians from accessing the necessities necessary for their survival, including water, and that humanitarian workers are unable to carry out their work in safety or reach those in need due to insecurity.
