A new operation in the Gulf of Aden
Yemeni forces launched a new naval operation on Thursday, as part of support of Gaza and Lebanon.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The British Maritime Operations Authority reported in an update that missile attacks targeted a cargo ship as it attempted to pass through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait via the Gulf of Aden.
The authority, managed by the British Navy, did not disclose the fate of the ship and its crew.
This operation is part of a series of escalating operations since November of last year, when Yemen declared the continued closure of the Bab Al-Mandeb and other passages against Israeli navigation.
The recent operation may be a response to the attempt of the owning company to break the blockade imposed by Yemeni forces against the occupation, including in the Mediterranean, especially with a complete halt of ships associated with the occupation and its allies from passing through the Bab Al-Mandeb and sufficing with the Cape of Good Hope.
