Indian Newspaper: Yemeni attacks on ships in the Red Sea cut off trade routes between India and the US
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Indian newspaper “The Hindu Business Line” revealed on Monday that Yemeni attacks on ships in the Red Sea have disrupted trade between India and the US.
The crisis in the Red Sea, resulting from attacks by the Houthis on ships linked to Israeli occupation and its supporting countries, notably Washington, has caused great damage to the trade between India and the US, as reported by the newspaper.
The newspaper added that “the greatest concern for exporters is the delay in delivering goods, with travel to the west coast of the US not involving the Red Sea and remaining unchanged,” clarifying that “however, there are delays in reaching the east coast of the US and Europe, where ships take the longer route around South Africa.”
“The direct communication from Mumbai to the east coast of the US takes 25-30 days compared to 16-18 days before the Red Sea crisis,” The Hindu Business Line noted.
It continued, “the biggest problem today is the transit time, especially for the passage of agricultural products that are at risk of deterioration if they remain at sea for a longer period.”
The Yemeni Armed Forces have successfully enforced a 100% ban on Israeli navigation in the Red Sea, preventing all ships linked to or belonging to the Israeli occupation from crossing the Red Sea within the framework of the Yemeni ban on Israeli navigation, in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people facing genocide with American and Western backing.
It also expelled American aircraft carriers and destroyers from the Red Sea and reduced its influence and presence in the region to an unprecedented extent after successfully striking ships, destroyers, aircraft carriers, and American military vessels in precise and qualitative operations in response to support for the Israeli occupation and launching attacks on Yemen.
