Will the UAE take the risk of becoming a target for Sana’a missiles?

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

An American website said that the construction of the mysterious airport on the island of Abd Al-Kuri in the Yemeni Socotra archipelago is nearing completion.

The report on the “The Maritime Executive” website speculated that the accelerated operations come within the context of the escalating conflict over Yemen, amid the Houthis’ threats to international navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas.

The American website’s report linked the establishment of the airport to the airstrikes carried out by Israel on Yemen.

According to the report, work on the airport on Abd Al-Kuri began in 2021 but progressed slowly. For several consecutive months, there was no clear progress. But in recent weeks, the pace of work has accelerated.

Despite the report ignored the UAE’s role in establishing the airport, numerous media reports have spoken since November 2022 about Emirati movements on the island of Abd Al-Kuri, including the start of construction of a military airport.

The Intel Lab, a platform specializing in monitoring military assets, published a new image at the time on its Twitter account revealing Abu Dhabi’s movements on the island of Abd Al-Kuri, located in the Indian Ocean south of Yemen.

Israel’s use of the new airport on the island of Abd Al-Kuri would put Abu Dhabi in direct military confrontation with Sana’a, which had threatened to target any country that assists in attacks on it.

Sana’a has shown a significant capability in possessing precise missiles and advanced drones, as it became the upper hand in imposing new equations.
