Tripartite exercises on the Red Sea coast simulate the recovery of Galaxy

On Saturday, Qatar revealed the start of military exercises on the Red Sea coast simulating the recovery of the Israeli cargo ship “Galaxy Leader” detained in Yemen.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Qatari platforms published information about the conduct of the exercises in Jeddah on the Saudi coasts.

According to the sources, British-American-Israeli forces are participating in the exercises.

The exercises simulate a landing operation on board the giant Israeli cargo ship “Leader,” currently off the western coast of Yemen.

The Saudi role in the maneuver is unknown.

These moves come just a few days after Yemen announced the release of the ship’s 25-man crew in coordination with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Omani mediation.

Yemen had seized the ship in 2023 with the launch of Yemeni operations in support of Gaza.

The fate of the ship remains unknown, amid statements by Yemeni officials about linking it to the decision of the Palestinian resistance.

Although the occupation had previously proposed the idea of recovering the ship through a military landing, the plans failed to be implemented due to concerns about what the Yemeni forces were preparing as surprises for any adventure.

The Yemeni forces have been engaged in fierce confrontations against the American-British coalition since their decision to support Gaza in November 2023. The confrontations are concentrated in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and extend to the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.

The Yemeni forces have succeeded in more than a year in imposing a ban on Israeli navigation, while American-British-European attempts to militarily contain these operations have failed.
