Gaza Strip hospitals suffer from severe oxygen shortages

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip suffer from an “acute shortage” in the quantities of oxygen, especially that the Zionist occupation forces burned and destroyed during its aggression on the Gaza Strip the central oxygen stations, especially in the hospitals of Rantisi, Al-Durra and Indonesian, Al-Shifa Medical Complexes, Al-Nasr and Sheikh Radwan Clinic Station.

The ministry said in a statement that the 10 destroyed stations met the needs of vital departments of oxygen such as operations, intensive care and emergency, in addition to the needs of patients at home.

She pointed out that a number of non-governmental hospitals, which support the ministry in providing service to patients, cannot provide their oxygen needs, warning that the occupation preventing the entry of oxygen stations to hospitals in the Gaza Strip will exacerbate the crisis to levels that threaten the lives of patients.

In a related context, the government media office in Gaza said that the occupation disrupted, today, the travel of the 15th batch of sick and wounded through the Rafah land crossing.

He explained in a statement that the occupation deliberately delays the sending of travel lists of the sick and wounded, which hinders their exit procedures, as happened today, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
