American concern over facing Sana’a forces militarily

Exclusive – Al-Khabar A-Yemeni:

The American Fox News newspaper spoke about American concerns about facing Sana’a forces militarily in the future.

The newspaper reported in a report that “senior military leaders at the Pentagon believe that it may just be a matter of time before a Houthi missile strikes a US Navy ship, which could cause hits and devastating damage to aircraft carriers and destroyers in the Red Sea.”

The report added that “some Pentagon officials say that adopting a counter-terrorism approach against the ‘Houthis’ will be costly.”

The newspaper explained that “the US military is discussing at the highest levels the best ways to confront the ‘Houthis,’” noting that “the US Navy has faced almost constant attacks in the Red Sea during the past period, and interdiction operations have sometimes failed only seconds before collision.”

The newspaper quoted Pentagon officials as saying that the “Houthis” had for the first time fired surface-to-air missiles at an American F-16 fighter aircraft over the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen.

They added that the “Houthis” also launched another missile on the same day on an American MQ-9 aircraft, noting that the “Houthis” firing these missiles is a major escalation in the military confrontation.
