61martyrs since the start of the Zionist aggression on West Bank

The occupation continues its aggression on the northern West Bank for the 36th day, since January 21, in the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas and Nablus, leaving 61 Palestinian martyrs, according to the Ministry of Health, in addition to the displacement of tens of thousands, and extensive destruction of property, homes and infrastructure.

In turn, the Minister of Local Government announced that 42,000 Palestinians were forced by the occupation to leave their homes, according to UNRWA figures in the camps of Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas.

According to the Prisoners’ Club, the occupation forces have arrested at least 365 Palestinians from Jenin and Tulkarm governorates since January 21.

The Israeli army evacuated three refugee camps in the northern West Bank and ordered them to prevent their return. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz made the announcement on Sunday.

Israeli authorities also deployed a tank unit in Jenin, the first time tanks have operated inside the Palestinian territories since the end of the second intifada.

“So far, some 40,000 Palestinians have been evacuated from the refugee camps of Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams, which are now depopulated,” Katz said in a statement.

He had ordered troops “to be prepared to stay in the evacuated camps throughout the year, and not to allow residents to return.”
