Euro-Mediterranean Monitor: Cutting aid to Gaza is a dangerous escalation that exacerbates the humanitarian crisis
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor expressed its grave concern over the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to suspend all humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, considering that this measure represents a dangerous escalation that consolidates starvation as a tool of genocide, amid the escalation of inciteful statements by Israeli officials against the Palestinian population, which reflect a deliberate intention to impose disastrous living conditions that lead to their actual destruction.
Gaza – Al-Khabar A-Yemeni:
According to the Euro-Mediterranean, the occupation authorities announced yesterday, Sunday, the complete suspension of the entry of goods and humanitarian aid into the Strip, with the closure of the crossings, in a step that exacerbates the serious humanitarian crisis suffered by more than 2 million Palestinians.
This coincided with the statements of the Prime Minister of the Occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, who threatened to impose “additional consequences,” without any consideration for the disastrous situation in Gaza.
Starvation as a War Crime:
The Monitor confirmed that humanitarian aid is a fundamental right for civilians, and it can’t be used as a political or military bargaining chip, noting that Israel is implementing a systematic starvation policy aimed at creating deadly living conditions that target the Palestinian presence in Gaza.
It explained that in addition to depriving the Palestinians of aid, the occupation uses coordination with the US administration to impose forcible displacement plans, as Washington has openly declared its intention to evacuate Gaza of its inhabitants, making the cutting of aid part of a deliberate plan to force Palestinians to leave their homeland.
